Teak Tree Plate 24cm

Handmade from the root of the teak tree, our NUSA series is a range of kitchen products that are all made in Indonesia. The products are responsibly produced from the root of teak wood, which is normally considered as waste. The name NUSA means Motherland in Indonesia, and the shapes of the series' products reflect the many islands Indonesia consists of.

All products in the series are food safe. They can only be hand-washed, to preserve the organic structure of the wood and to prevent it from cracking. The organic material gives a warm feeling and the series has a rustic look, which is beautiful in combination with ceramic. Variations in colour, shape and structure is part of the design and evitable when using teak root.
