For this special DORIS for HKLIVING traditional lantern, we combined shared passion for design, fashion, prints, vintage and craftsmanship. This shared passion has resulted in a wonderful co-creation with DORIS vintage, a Dutch vintage fashion hunter. Together we created a special collection, named DORIS for HKLIVING. The eye-catcher of this co-created collection is the handmade lantern with a DORIS vintage floral print: a true piece of art and traditional craftsmanship. Our traditional Taiwanese lanterns are created in the last traditional crafts workshop in the mountains of Taiwan. One worker creates the framework using local Makino bamboo, another applies the fabric, giving the frame extra strength, and finally a third craftsman folds the fabric around the frame, bringing the piece together. An experienced artist paints each item individually, by hand. That makes this special DORIS for HKLIVING traditional Taiwanese lantern a beautiful and authentic addition to your home. "
