Returns

We hope you’ll love your order, but if something isn’t quite right, we’re here to help.


How to return your item

To start a return, please use our portal here email us at info@folkinteriors.com with your order number and the item(s) you’d like to return. We’re happy to help facilitate your return and can provide either a QR code or a printable label — just let us know which you’d prefer. Alternatively, you’re welcome to arrange the return yourself using a tracked service. Return costs are outlined below.

Return options & costs

Small items (homewares & accessories)

  • Returns accepted within 45 days
  • Gift voucher available up to 100 days

We can arrange returns for you:

  • Royal Mail label: £4.99 per box
  • Parcelforce collection: £12–£20 per box

(Available Monday–Friday with a time window)

Return costs will be deducted from your refund.

You’re also welcome to return items yourself — we recommend using a tracked service, as we can’t be responsible for items lost in transit.


Large furniture items

  • Please contact us within 14 days of delivery to arrange a return
  • We’ll organise collection with our courier team
  • Return costs vary by location (starting from £70)

Items must be returned in original condition and packaging.


Returns window

  • We offer a 45-day returns period for refunds or exchanges
  • After 45 days, we can offer a gift voucher up to 100 days from purchase (items must be unused and in original condition)

Condition of returns

To be eligible for a return:

  • Items must be unused and in the same condition as received
  • Items must be in original packaging
  • Proof of purchase is required

If items are returned without original packaging, a 20% restocking fee may apply, as they may need to be sold as ex-display.

We recommend keeping all packaging until you’re sure you’d like to keep your item.


Refunds

Once your return has been received and inspected, we’ll email you to confirm.

If approved:

  • Refunds are processed within 14 days
  • Funds are returned to your original payment method

During busy periods, processing may take slightly longer.


Sale items

Sale items are non-refundable, but we’re happy to offer a gift voucher within 30 days of purchase.


Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged.

If you need an exchange, please email us at info@folkinteriors.com before returning your item.


Damaged items

Please check your order on arrival.

If your item arrives damaged, contact us within 2 days of delivery:

Please include photos of both the item and the packaging.


Refund deductions

We may apply a 20% deduction if items are:

  • Not returned in original condition
  • Missing packaging
  • Damaged (not due to our error)

Partial refunds

Partial refunds may be given where applicable, including:

  • Ceramics with signs of use
  • Seasonal items returned after the relevant period (e.g. Christmas items)
  • Items returned outside the 45-day window

Late or missing refunds

If your refund hasn’t arrived:

  1. Check your bank account
  2. Contact your card provider
  3. Contact your bank

Gifts

If your item was marked as a gift:

  • You’ll receive a gift credit once your return is processed

If not marked as a gift, the refund will be issued to the original purchaser.
